Bed & Breakfasts
There is nothing quite like a British Bed & Breakfast (B&B). Often a converted terraced house on two or three levels, B&B's typically provide more 'home comforts' than most hotels in a similar price range and are more often than not operated by the proud owner.
London B&B's don't always live up to the excellent reputation and standards of those in the provinces it has to be said, but with a bit of research you should be able to find something that meets your needs. Depending on your perspective, the typical B&B breakfast is either the eighth wonder of the world or an overwhelming culinary nightmare. Expect bacon, eggs, sausages, baked beans, and toast as pretty much the minimum expected of your early morning appetite.
