Teaching Positions

There is a shortage of qualified preschool, primary, and secondary teachers in the UK, and Australian, New Zealand, and South African teachers are held in high regard. While many positions available will be 'emergency' or short-term, there are also opportunities for more long-term placements.

There is plenty of work available throughout the UK, although the bulk of positions will typically be in the London and Birmingham areas.

KEA Recruitment is a new recruitment consultancy with a fresh attitude. Focusing on finding the right work for Kiwis, visit their website for more - KEA Recruitment.

In London, our Recommended Partner teaching agency is Quay Education Services, who have a great deal of experience in placing teachers in UK schools. Quay Education have offices in the heart of the City of London and in Milton Keynes.

Technical/Trades/Labouring

The building and construction industry is extremely volatile in the UK, with periods of intense activity and periods of inactivity. This makes it all the more important to keep in contact with your agency to ensure that the particular work you are after is available. While generally there is work for electricians, plumbers, builders, and engineers, experience does matter for the better-paid placements. Property maintenance and installation work makes up a greater proportion of the available work in the UK than perhaps in the Southern Hemisphere industries.
